Ephedra vs. Ephedrine

Ephedra diet pills are still available on the market in 2013. Ephedra extract is legal and safe to use. The FDA has banned ephedrine alkaloids for use in sports nutrition supplements, diet pills, and other supplements. Pure ephedrine can be found on this site but it can only be marketed as a nasal decongestant.
Ephedrine is synthetic (produced in a lab) and not approved for use in weight loss pills, however many still use ephedrine for weight loss (EC stack, ECA Stack). Ephedrine relaxes the bronchial muscles and is a central nervous stimulant.
